Dear NE Members,

MIDCUTICON NESTATES 2022 held at Sarsing Teron Memorial Hall on 29/5/22 was a grand success in all aspects. The program began at 11am. Inaugural Session started with Saraswati Vandana by MBBS students of Diphu Medical College and Hospital followed by addresses by Organising President Dr. Anal J Bordoloi, President-NEIADVL Dr. KK Shama, Secretary-NEIADVL Dr. Ruby Jain. Dr. Sumitra Hagjer Principal cum Chief Superintendent Diphu Medical College and Hospital graced the occasion and addressed the gathering. Two releases were the highlight of this session which were released by the dignitaries on the Dias - NE newsletter edited by Dr Ronjon Bhattacharya & NE Yuvaderma edited by Dr. Lily Singha.

To mark the Golden Jubilee year of IADVL golden jubilee brooch pin was pinned to every delegates that was appreciated by all and we all felt proud wearing it.

The golden jubilee Session was a great show with IADVL HISTORY video was played followed by Dr. Rashmi Sarkar President IADVL video msg , NEIADVL VIDEO created by Dr. Saloni and team in 2019 was a great treat to the eyes followed by a new video of achievements and accolades up to date of NEIADVL by Dr. Ruby Jain was released which was the highlight of the Golden Jubilee Session.

GBM was conducted very well and many important decisions were taken and compiled well. Post lunch first Scientific session was on Probiotics in Dermatology - An update presented by Dr. Ashimav Deb Sharma and a great learning for all. The second session was Panel Discussion on Atopic Dermatitis.The panellist were Dr. Ashimav Deb Sharma, Dr. Anita Barua, Dr. Nasiur Rahman and Dr. Binita Teron and it was very well moderated by Dr. Minakshi Narah. The session was very informative and interactive. Debate competition on two very interesting topics by residents engaged the audience.

It was very well conducted and all the debaters shared their views and did justice to both the topics and judges were very impressed by the debaters . The judges of Debate competition were Dr. Aruna Devi & Dr. Ruby Jain. Congratulations to all participants. The best debate team were Dr Manashi Das and Dr Mayank Khandelwal. Heartiest congratulations to both of them .

VENEREOLOGY session had two topics:

  1. A rare case of childhood genital porokeratosis by Dr Rinki Kumari Singh 2 nd year resident from AMCH.
  2. Lichen sclerosus with Vulval SCC by Dr Mayank Khandelwal 2 nd year resident from GMCH

FREE PAPER SESSION included 5 papers by residents of GMCH,AMCH & JMCH:

  1. SECUKINUMAB A biological wonder in refractory plaque psoriasis by Dr Tanaya Bhattacharya.

  3. Varied mucocutaneous manifestations in paediatric SLE by Dr Rinki Kumari Singh.
  4. Efficacy and safety of fractional CO2 laser resurfacing in facial atrophic acne scars by Dr Devankur Dutta.
  5. Excimer laser Vs Excimer laser and topical tacrolimus combination in treatment of vitiligo : a comparative study by Dr. Manashi Das.

POSTER PRESENTATION:

  1. An anecdote of ray fungus : cutaneous actinomycosis with a massive lump by Dr. Rinki Kumari Singh 2nd year PGT AMCH.
  2. Under scoring the dramatic response of propranolol with steroids in complicated infantile haemangioma 2nd year PGT AMCH.
  3. A rare variant of neuroichthyotic syndrome in a child Dr. Suman Saikia 2nd year PGT AMCH.
  4. Neonatal varicella Dr. Villavan Kothai 2nd year PGT GMCH.
  5. An interesting case of Reticulate acropigmentation of Dohi/ Dowling Dego disease overlap Dr. Mayank Khandelwal 2nd year PGT GMCH.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to respected Dr. Jogesh Das Sir for his kind presence throughout the conference that was a great morale support to all of us . My special thanks to Dr KK Sharma Sir, Dr. Vizolie sir, Dr. Krishna Talukdar Sir, Dr. Mhabemo Sir, Dr. Basobi Barua ma’am, Dr. Anita baideo, Dr. Smrity baideo , Dr. Aruna baideo and Dr. Pranab da , Dr. Nasiur da and family, Dr. Indrani , Dr. Sentila , Dr. Atoka, Dr. Krishna Da and family, Dr. Anal , Dr. Montu for attending the conference and sharing their valuable inputs.

My special thanks to Dr. Krishna da for all his advices, support and giving an affirmation to all what I suggested, Dr. Binita, Dr Rosely, Dr. Vivek for their hard work and cooperation and yet again proved that a great team can achieve many milestones with grace . A thank all the MBBS students of Diphu Medical college for Saraswati Vandana performance, anchoring and for execution on stage.

I express my gratitude to all pharmaceutical companies for their participation in the conference. The banquet dinner was a great relaxing and refreshing. Everyone enjoyed a Karbi and Bihu group dance followed by live singing by Mr Columbus Rongphi and Mr Sarlongki Bey and everyone were dancing to the beats and Dr. Nasiur da song & Dr. Montu with Kishore da’s melody set all the mood for a great evening. The meals for the whole day was scrumptious to the taste buds and I hope everyone enjoyed. Once again I thank you all for your active participation and encouragement for the organising committee.
