Announcement inviting applications for PG Thesis-based Award (oral and e-poster) session at MIDDERMACON 2026 (Bhubaneswar, Odisha)

Dear Young IADVL Colleagues,

A postgraduate Thesis-Based Award Session (oral and e-poster) will take place at MIDDERMACON 2026, to be held at Bhubaneswar, Odisha, on September 11-13, 2026.

Eligibility: The thesis-based award session (oral and e-poster) will be open to all postgraduates who would have appeared for their exam by the last date of abstract submission 30th June or have cleared the exam in the preceding 2 years (after 31st May 2024).

The application must be forwarded by the Chief guide/supervisor of the postgraduate. It is mandatory for the PG student to himself/ herself present the paper or poster. Pre-registration for the conference will be mandatory for the postgraduates whose abstract is selected for this session.

    World Vitiligo Day Painting Competition 2026 by IADVL

    Dear IADVL members,

    Vitiligo is an important skin disease that has a major impact on the quality of life of patients, many of whom feel distressed and stigmatised by their condition.
    People with vitiligo are often mistreated, looked down or shunned from society. With ongoing research and innovation, vitiligo treatment has offered new hope in both medical and surgical approaches. Still, the delay in seeking treatment remains a major hurdle in the management. This can be overcome through ongoing initiatives to spread awareness. This is the need of the hour to make an effort to reduce the stigma associated with the disease.
